semester 1 reflection

1) quality of work  i think my overall quality of some of my photos has really increased from last year's photo class. the structure looks nicer in some photos more than others. the quality of my subject matter was a little rocky at the beginning of the year but it began to progress as the year went on. for the most part i think i fulfilled what the assignment asked us to do. the taking the assignment above and beyond aspect is definitely something i can work towards in the second half of the year. proper format and resolution is always what it should be, seeing as i learned all of that last year. completing the work on time is also something i need to work on but my time management skills in general are pretty sucky. i usually try and think of more than just my first idea but usually i don't end up liking them as much so i end up going back to my original idea.  2) effort   with my effort in class i try and participate in class enough. but when it comes to ac...

COMPOSITION: It has pretty sharp lines on the upper half of the photo and then really blurred lines on the bottom half. It's pretty symmetrical because of the reflection from the lighthouse below it. TEXTURE: The way the sky is photographed gives it a textured look with how the clouds formed. And in the center of the image it is really light in comparison with the outer edges, so it creates greater contrast. SHADOWS: The shadows from the lighthouse and its surrounding architecture creates some dark shadows on the top of the water. CONTRAST BETWEEN SUBJECT AND BACKGROUND: The lighthouse is really light while the surrounding clouds are rather dark so it creates a nice contrast between the two.
